Although we do not charge extra for last-minute requests for service, but we also cannot guarantee availability. We need to have a phone number for you at your destination, and also the date you expect to return. This information should be left for your petsitter, as well.

If your pet requires medication, please leave us clear written instructions about medication, including dates and amounts. We may be unable to administer medication if your pet resists. Please leave us alternative instructions, your vet's number, and your destination number.

Upon your return, please call either your petsitter or the Home Alone office and let us know that you arrived back on schedule and that your pet is safe in your care. We also would appreciate feedback on the care your pet and home received while you were gone.

Early arrivals: Clients returning home early will be required to pay for the reserved amount of visits.

We encourage at least once a day pet sits, and highly discourage every other day visits. Stress is the leading cause of illness in pets. Staying in their own environment lessens their stress but they need to be cared for everyday.

In order for your pet(s) to receive care as close to their normal routine as possible, please provide pet food, treats, medications, collar and identification, leash, toys, etc.. Please do not start a new diet or give new treats right before or during a pet sit unless ordered by your vet.
